This film pinpoints a moment when blues lyrics finally became noticed, so to speak, by the American establishment; when the lyrics of Big Bill Broonzy were read out at President Obama’s 2009 inauguration for the world to hear.
We catch Bill in action then move on to Van Morrison and Them singing their massive 1965 hit, Baby Please Don’t Go, originally recorded by Big Joe Williams in 1935.
